Very good traditional French restaurant. The ambiance is very classic and you can
enjoy to be sitting next to a very nice fireplace but do not expect a purple wall or
red light here. The jacket is required, I was the only one in the restaurant
without a tie…but also the younger by several double digit lead.

The wine list is supposed to be very good but for the wine by the glass, I was very
disappointed. No Alsatian wine by the Glass, let’s face it, for me it’s a bad start.
Overall, by the Glass there is only 4 French wines (none from Bordeaux but a nice
“Chateau Neuf du Pape” at a reasonable price $12). Ok we are in the US but we
are talking about a French restaurant! To be honest and complete, except for the
wine by the glass, the choice of wine is terrific.

The food is very good as well, you can take a menu with either 4 or 5 courses and
even 6 courses if you want to cumulate both cheese and dessert. The portions are
pretty generous but let’s face it, quite huge for this type of restaurant. It’s
authentic French cuisine; don’t expect to drink a duck reduction with a drinking
straw. The desserts were very good and choice of cheese awesome.

The service was however somewhat disappointing for this type of restaurant…we
did not receive any bread and water for sometime (serves as nicely as in Giordano’
s! )?

At end, the price is the tough part of the night. 115$ for the 4 courses meal add
22$ for the cheese and you don’t have a drink! Overall tip included (the tip was
fixed I did not get the choice of the amount!), you can expect 200$ per person. At
this price, you are in the same range as TRU. Let’s be simple, I think TRU is better.
The service is obviously a lot better; the design of the restaurant is less warm that
in “Les Nomades” but very design. The food is a tie; more innovative at TRU and
more traditional at Les Nomades but both excellent
